Dr. Fred (Farid) Bakht is a board certified Family Physician.

Dr. Bakht graduated from medical school at the University of Toronto in 1980 and then completed a residency in Family Practice at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 1985. Since then, Dr. Bakht has taught at Baylor College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Practice and subsequently went into private practice in order to focus on patient care, while maintaining an academic affiliation with the medical school.

Born in Lebanon, he grew up in Toronto, Canada before moving to Houston in 1981. In addition to English, Dr. Bakht  speaks Arabic and some French.

Dr. Bakht's practice includes caring for the diseases of newborns, children, and adults as well as performing wellness physicals and preventive care.
