Dr.
Hyman is a board certified rheumatologist and offers in-office infusion
treatments. Before coming to our practice in 1976, Dr. Hyman completed a two year fellowship in Rheumatology at Baylor College of Medicine. He served his residency in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He also completed a medical internship at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainheld, New Jersey, after earning his medical degree from the University of Bologna Medical School in Bologna, Italy.
His distinguished medical background includes research and clinical studies on arthritic drugs. Dr. Hyman is a member of the American Society of Internal Medicine, American College of Physicians, Harris County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, Texas Rheumatism Association, and is a founding fellow of the American Rheumatology Association and American College of Rheumatology. He is also on medical staff at Memorial Southwest Hospital and consults and treats all types of arthritis, vasculitis, and muscle diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, etc.
Dr. Hyman is a very personable and dedicated physician. He takes time to get to know his patients, and helps them participate in their own healthcare.
Dr. Hyman, and his wife, Iris, a practicing Dermatologist, have two delightful children. In his spare time, Dr. Hyman enjoys playing the saxophone and clarinet, composing music, writing, and reading literature. He speaks Spanish, Italian, and some German.
